Saw your kitchen in TRENDS magazine. We LOVE the granite in that kitchen. Can you share the name/kind of granite you used for it? Thanks in advance.

The granite you are referring to is actually a quartzite - a natural stone material like granite that is harder and denser than either granite or marble. The color of the material in the kitchen in question is called Oyster Pearl. For additional information about this client kitchen remodel go to the  Articles and Features page here on our website.  Look for the Kitchen Trends Magazine cover under the title - "Leading Statement" and click on the image to see the full feature article in Kitchen Trends Magazine.

Hi Kathryn. Cream cabinets have the ability to be timeless because they read as neutral (much like Cherry cabinets). By adding different accessories, you can re-invent the cream colored cabinets so they keep up with current trends and always look fresh.

When it comes to appliances, I always try to go with function over aesthetics. If you feel it will make your life easier and more convenient to have two wall ovens, then definitely go that route. If you feel two ovens is more than you need, then stick with one. I don’t think either option will deter from the beauty of your overall design. Hope this information is helpful!

I am currently in the middle of a custom kitchen remodel and feeling a bit stressed. I currently have cherry cabinets and decided to switch to cream colored cabinets with a cherry island. I am second guessing every decision and wondering if cream is the way to go. Will cream cabinets be timeless like my cherry cabinets are now? Also, currently I have one oven and have an opportunity for two wall ovens. Will looking at two wall ovens take away from the beauty of the kitchen?
    Thanks, Kathryn
