The homeowner, a renowned Chicago interior designer, was looking for a fresh, new look for her master bath. The layout of the space needed to stay the same because of the ceiling lines and existing plumbing locations. For her, it was more about the use of materials, textures and lighting to create a new look for the space.

Granite has been a longtime staple in the design industry and that is now a must for most upscale remodeling and new homes. Dating back to ancient times, granite has been used in all kinds of construction from temples to headstones. It's a favorite material for its hardness and durability; for its variety; and for its beauty.
This Asian styled master bath was the second remodeling project by designer, Tina Muller for this Naperville homeowner. Inspired by a collection of Asian art pieces collected over a decade while living in the Orient, the design and colors of this modern spa-like retreat incorporates the feel of the east and creates a dramatic view from the adjacent bedroom.
