Classic Traditional Burr Ridge Kitchen Design

This award-winning kitchen successfully marries the design visions and remodeling wish lists of a Burr Ridge couple. Traffic flow was priority No. 1 for this two-cook household, which frequently hosts guests. Placement of work areas at one end of a large island keeps traffic out of the central work area, as requested.

Carefully planned details make this a welcoming place for guests to gather–another request. Madre Perla quartzite countertops have the look of old world marble without the upkeep. Intricate cabinet details include 3/4-inch drawers and doors and routed paneled columns. A backsplash design of stainless steel and tumbled marble tiles with metal liners crowns the range.

Awards: This kitchen remodel was recognized for best large kitchen design at the 2011 Chicago Midwest Chapter National Kitchen & Bath Association Design Vision competition.
