Designing With A Purpose

Featured in Kitchen and Bath Business Magazine is a recent project designed by Drury Designer, Janice Teague. She was entrusted with taking a dull kitchen and living space and turning it into a haven for entertaining. The design objective of this space was to be classic and neutral. These Hinsdale homeowners wanted a kitchen that would flow effortlessly into the other common areas of the first floor along with a palette that would allow them to showcase their art collection. “My goal was to incorporate their needs for a functional kitchen and integrate beautiful materials into the design to create a kitchen they would love for years,” said Teague.

The result of this remodel is a truly elongated kitchen that provides enough space for large gatherings. The lengthy rectangular island with seating for 5 creates a stunning focal point and the entire first floor beautifully transitions, each space complimenting the next.
