Following up with an article we published on our website in October, we wanted to go into more detail about the three winning Drury Design kitchen design projects (by three different designers) recognized for excellence at the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) Design Visions awards ceremony held in September 2009. We’re very proud of their work and want to share their amazing accomplishments with you.

Following up with an article we published on our website in October, we wanted to go into more detail about the three winning Drury Design kitchen design projects (by three different designers) recognized for excellence at the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) Design Visions awards ceremony held in September 2009. We’re very proud of their work and want to share their amazing accomplishments with you.

NKBA 2009 Design Visions 1st Place – Large Kitchen Category

Gail Drury, CMKBD, and president of Drury Design, took first place honors in the large kitchen category for a major kitchen renovation for a Hinsdale client. The winning kitchen featured white furniture-styled cabinetry mixed with antique glass doors, carrara marble counters, reclaimed barn wood ceiling and vintage white oak flooring.

NKBA 2009 Design Visions 2nd Place – Medium Kitchen Category

Terry Kenney took second place honors in the medium kitchen category for a client in Lisle. This kitchen renovation features a transitional look incorporating both natural and custom dark stained alder wood cabinetry, medium tone warm Brazilian cherry wood floor, black galaxy granite countertops, iridescent mosaic tiles as the back splash throughout 1 ½” thick glass countertop on the accent cabinetry.

NKBA 2009 Design Visions 3rd Place – Medium Kitchen Category

Tina Muller won third place in the medium kitchen category for another transitional kitchen design project in Wheaton. This design features a large floating island with a warm granite with veins of rust and blue gray, cherry wood cabinetry and an a bounty of stainless steel appliances for convenience and entertaining large family gatherings.
