Thirty Under 30 Distinction

Emily Tomek, AKBD has been selected as one of the Thirty Under 30 recipients by The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) for the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show 2020 (KBIS®), to be held January 21-23 in Las Vegas.

“We are so incredibly proud that Emily is being honored with this designation, it is well deserved” said Gail Drury, President of Drury Design.

The goal of the NKBA 30 Under 30 Program is to acknowledge outstanding young design professionals, while helping these individuals to immerse and apply themselves to new opportunities for growth and development in support of the industry.

“This group of outstanding young professionals represents the future of the industry,” said Bill Darcy, NKBA Chief Executive Officer. “NKBA is proud to recognize them as part of this key program, and we’re looking forward to hearing their insightful presentations in Las Vegas. The Thirty Under 30 honor will help them as they continue to develop their careers, and we are happy to be a part of recognizing the next generation of industry leaders.”

As an associate designer, Emily Tomek has a passion for interior design and remodeling. The most rewarding aspect of her position is interpreting the client’s needs and presenting solutions to meet them. She has a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Iowa State University’s College of Design and graduated with honors. She was happy to pursue her passion and creativity as a designer at Drury Design. Additionally, Emily recently received her certification as an Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer (AKBD) through the NKBA. Emily  aims to be a leader in the design/remodeling industry as well as an active member of the NKBA and this opportunity will help further her development towards those goals.

On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, the group of 30 young professionals will present their findings on the Las Vegas show floor in a presentation for KBIS 2020 show attendees and industry experts. They will share the results of their explorations and answer questions from the audience. Emily is looking forward to sharing her insight on the trade with peers and is eager to gain new knowledge and practices to take home and share within her industry networks.

Join all of us here at Drury Design in congratulating Emily on this impressive accomplishment.
