Designed with creativity, attention to detail and product flexibility, Drury Design’s English Pub is a working bar that hosts frequent open houses and charity fund-raising events.
The bar layout creatively displays how to optimize function in a small space. A 36-inch high work area is adjacent to a 30-inch high commercial stainless steel bar unit with an ice chest containing bottle holders and condiment trays. A raised 42-inch bar sandwiched between two raised areas comfortably seats two people. The heavily paneled soffit, tin ceiling, and antique light fixtures give the area a cozy English Pub feel.
Attention to detail is evident in the use of moldings and trim pieces. Exposed corners have decorative ovolo edges. Custom decorative wood mullions used on the glass doors and repeated on the solid wood doors personalize the display.
Silver cloud granite tops the counters and complements an integrated soapstone apron sink. Darker soapstone shows up in the bar ledge and foot rest. The upper cabinet tops are made of wood that matches the cabinets. The refrigerator is built in behind antique glass doors with the wood mullion detail applied.
