Drury Design Kitchen and Bath Studio Named Top Grabill Cabinet Company Dealer for 9th Consecutive Year

For the ninth year running, Grabill Cabinet Company of Grabill, Indiana named Drury Design Kitchen & Bath Studio of Glen Ellyn, Illinois as its national dealer sales volume leader. Drury Design’s work is featured on Grabill’s trucks and in company portfolios.

Drury Design started out as a Grabill dealer in 1995. By the end of 1997, Drury had become Grabill’s 11th largest dealership; by end of 1998, they advanced to 9th place. In 1999, Drury Design won their first Grabill Cabinet Company sales leader award and they’ve taken top place ever since.

“Every year when I look at the picture of the Drury Design team at the award dinner, I’m impressed by how much they’ve grown,” says Kathy Lee Svendson, a Grabill Cabinet Company representative. “Although the number of people on the Drury Design team is impressive – they’re up to over 20 now, Drury Design’s commitment to continually evolve their client service process is remarkable. They make the design process as easy and creative as possible for their clients and for us, which is a challenging mix for even the most professional design studios.” Ms. Svendson says it’s no surprise that many of the designs that Gail Drury and her team envision for their clients become industry trendsetters.

Greg Cassady, manager of dealer sales and development for Grabill Cabinet Company commented, “The Drury Design team is always on the leading edge of trends in kitchen and bath furniture oriented designs. Gail Drury and her team of Chicago kitchen designers have a unique way of introducing new focal points, which may become tomorrow’s standards. Two recent additions to their showroom invite consumers to explore new possibilities.”

To showcase Lyptus, a wood species imported from Brazil with characteristics of mahogany, Drury Design recently added a home entertainment/mudroom vignette with design elements that introduce a fashionable treatment to convenience furnishings. Stained a warm gray hue, the Lyptus wood is accented with rich cherry. Square glass insets and doors with slit panels add an upscale Prairie tone. A banquet/bookcase is an elegant and functional addition to a family room or entertainment center. On the studio’s main level, Drury Design consulted with Grabill to build a new client presentation area crowned with a vaulted cherry ceiling. Cabinetry styles mix transitional, contemporary and traditional. An asymmetrical twist adds unexpected design tangents that play off of rounded forms.

The studio at 512 North Main Street displays Grabill Cabinetry in many vignettes. Gail Drury’s office features custom Grabill Biedermeir style cabinetry of Vermont cherry and ebony accents. A library setting displays Grabill Cabinetry in a coffered ceiling, paneled walls and fireplace mantle. Working closely with Grabill’s craftsmen, the DDKBS team often designs one of a kind door styles and finishes for their clients such as the “Glen Ellyn” door.
