Bright & Crisp Transitional Kitchen – Hinsdale

Beautifully spacious entertaining space may not have been the original intent for this 1905 kitchen, but it is exactly what this remodel accomplished. The removal of a complete wall opened up the possibilities to entertain more guests without encroaching upon the cook’s workspace. Every inch of storage space is strategically utilized, thanks to a double-sided, pull-out pantry to the right of the refrigerator, tray dividers above it, and deep drawers in the base cabinets.

Of course, it’s one thing to have plenty of storage – and another to have a spacious look and feel. The textured mirror panels on the 36” Sub-Zero refrigerator, the bright Colonial White granite countertops and glacier white perimeter cabinets, and the bright, polished chrome pendant lights help convince the eye that this kitchen is a space to enjoy as well as to create.
