Refined Traditional Kitchen in Burr Ridge

A busy, growing family requested this redesign, creating a comfortable space for the clan to gather adjacent to the main living area. Though functionality was key, the homeowners also requested an elegant space in which they could take pride.
Unique details of the hearth area combine to make this kitchen truly special. Painted woodwork and inset cabinetry frame a beautiful, hand-hammered custom pewter hood. Polished and satin Carrera marble brick tiles combine with midi-brick mosaics and a bronze liner to form an elegant backsplash. An impressive 13-foot island serves as a gathering spot and anchor for the room.
