White and Warm Classic Traditional Kitchen
A crisp white color palette spotlights architectural details such as arched valances, crown molding and corbels in this suburban Chicago kitchen. Key elements of the space include Calcutta marble countertops, a farmhouse sink and oversized island.
Other carefully chosen details include a cross design, which threads through light fixtures, bar stools and glass-doored cabinetry. Warm tones found in flooring and in contrasting walnut cabinetry, as well as metallic accents from appliances and lighting, make this traditional white kitchen come alive.
This design won both the 2010 National Kitchen & Bath Association “Art of the Industry” National Design Competition and the 2008-2009 Sub-Zero Wolf Kitchen Design Competition.
