Recently featured on Grothouse Lumber’s website was Janice Teague’s (CKD / CBD) kitchen design in Hinsdale, Illinois. This 1905 home’s kitchen was defiantly not built for a modern kitchen, but with lots of floor plan revisions, and some heavy muscle. Janice Teague and her team transformed this once-cramped kitchen into a space perfect for gatherings.

The Grothouse Wenge Wood Countertop of course. The pleasing pure white cabinetry and subway tile backsplash bring focused to the rich and natural color of the Wenge Wood, naturally drawing the eye to it.

This countertop is a 1-1/2″ thick Edge Grain Wenge Kitchen Island Countertop with a Standard Ogee on top horizontal edges, 1/8″ Roundover on bottom horizontal edges and vertical corners and a Durata® Waterproof Permanent Finish in Satin sheen. Designed by Janice Teague, CKD/CBD, of Drury Design Kitchen & Bath Studio.
