Meet Assistant Designer Jenita Rawal
When people think about great design, they often focus on the finished space. But behind every successful project is a team of talented professionals helping bring ideas to life.
We’re pleased to introduce Assistant Designer Jenita Rawal, who joined Drury Design earlier this year.
Jenita’s path to design began in India while her family was renovating their home. What started as an interest in selecting finishes and furnishings grew into a deeper curiosity about how spaces are created — and how they shape the way people live.
That curiosity led her to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Anant National University in India before moving to the United States to complete a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture at Suffolk University in Boston. Along the way, she gained experience in both furniture design and interior finish selections, helping clients navigate everything from furniture selections to tile and stone products.
Today, Jenita is building on that foundation at Drury Design, where she’s learning the intricacies of luxury kitchen, bath, and whole-home remodeling while supporting our design team throughout the project process. Her background spans multiple cultures and design environments, and she speaks Gujarati, Hindi, and English.
Getting to Know Jenita
What first inspired you to pursue design?
“My family’s home renovation sparked my interest. I realized there were so many details that go into creating a home, and I became fascinated by how design can reflect a person’s personality and improve the way they live.”
What do you enjoy most about the design process?
“I love the conceptual phase. I enjoy creating spaces that have meaning and connect to the people who use them. Design isn’t just about choosing colors or materials—it’s about creating an experience and telling a story.”
What unique perspective do you bring to the team?
“I think my experiences have taught me that design is very personal. Whether it’s architecture, furniture, materials, or interiors, I enjoy understanding how people live and what makes them feel comfortable in a space. Having studied and worked in different environments has shown me that good design isn’t just about how a space looks—it’s about how it makes people feel.”
What are you enjoying most about Drury Design so far?
“The people. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and willing to help. I’ve learned so much already, and I’m excited to continue growing here.”
Outside of work, Jenita enjoys cooking, discovering new restaurants with family, playing pickleball, exploring local trails, and spending time with her husband and extended family.
We’re excited to have Jenita on the Drury Design team and look forward to watching her continue to grow as a designer.
One of Jenita’s graduate design projects explored the adaptive reuse of a historic shipbuilding facility in Boston, blending contemporary workspaces with design elements inspired by the site’s nautical heritage.
