Contemporary Studio Vignette
Designer: Gail Drury, CMKBD
Co-Designer: Ginny Blasco, Ginny Blasco Design Studio
Think a contemporary kitchen design is cold and austere? These days, well-chosen colors and materials take the chill out of modern kitchen design. The studio’s newest vignette, with a unique mixture of warm tones, textures, finishes and dramatic lighting, is a design that could fit seamlessly into a modern or transitional home.
Key elements of this contemporary kitchen design include:
- two types of cabinetry–glossy slab door style is complimented by matte gray
- floating bridge cabinet suspended between perimeter and the island
- range hood floating on an open wall
- Thermador refrigerator disguised to look like a bank of cabinets
